Event description

Description

Pre Requisites: This program requires paddlers to be comfortable making confident moves in Class III Whitewater. A confident and reliable roll is necessary, ideally paddlers have had multiple days experience

Outline: This course will be run on Class II+/III will require participants to have confidence on this level of water. The instruction philosophy is hard moves in easier whitewater so when you push up in difficulty it all comes naturally. In this program we will look at the basics of paddling a creek boat, this will include edging, body trim, momentum, body rotation and more. The 2 hour (on water) session will be drill intensive and we will likely use a very short section of river in order to repeat drills until participants feel really comfortable. The progression will lead towards a sequence of learning to boof which will be a tangible practise technique for the future

Clinic Size: 5 participants
Meeting Time:
1:00pm at the Aquabatics Calgary Booth
Finish Time: 4:30pm at the Aquabatics Booth
Gear included: Boats available on request
