About this Event

Description

This class presents the fundamentals of the CNC milling workflow, including CAD, CAM, setup, and operation as well as the basics of workholding and feeds and speeds.

We will be using Easel software for creating designs and controlling the machine. Also, I will demonstrate how to run G-Code created in Fusion 360.

Who this class is for

This class is for those new to CNC milling and those looking to brush up on the basics. Also, members of Twin Cities Maker wishing to use the Shapeoko or X-Carve will leave the class with the skills necessary to setup and operate the machine.

What to expect

The first part of the class will cover fundamental concepts and terminology used in CNC milling, followed by a demo.

The second part of the class will be hands-on. You will complete 3 projects (time permitting), giving you the experience you need to start creating on your own.
