Introduction to Animation & 3D Modeling

About the Course:This series includes a total of3 sessions. Each session covers different topics in Introduction to Animation & 3D Modeling. Students are not required to take all session but it is highly recommended.
Course Discription: This course is an introduction to Autodesk’s Maya Software, and contains a complete track of classes to help students to move through the entire realm of 3D modeling, animation and even specialization such as designing characters, rigging and animating them, and exploring complex aspects of Computer Generated 3D design such as advanced material shaders, all using Autodesk’s Maya /or other Autodesk Software as a special request or as offered.
Students in this course learn about various techniques for use in modeling in 3D, texturing, materials, topology, High and low poly modeling, lighting, animation of both organic and mechanical meshes, as well as setting up small animated scenes or sequences.
Familiarity with Maya software and 3D Modeling techniques
Learning basic animation principles and methods
Understanding of materials, lighting and advanced processes
The PVNet 3-D Computer Animation class is taught by industry professionals and is a unique creative opportunity for school-age students. Learn how to use the same animation software that professionals use! Several PVNet animation graduates now work for major animation studios around the world. Alumni of PVNET’s 3D Animation class have gone on to work on popular films such as Avatar, Lord of the Rings, and Spiderman.
(Certain Saturdays registration for single session of this course is offered. All sessions must be taken for moving to the next level in the Game Design Track.)
