About this event

Participants will be invited to journey with Mary in her relationship with God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as a model for ways each person might grow in their prayer lives. The author, Rea McDonnell, draws on a lifetime of biblical study and work as a retreat director to re-introduce readers to Mary.

Sr. Mary Irene Sorber, SCC, MS is an Associate Spiritual Director affiliated with the West Virginia Institute for Spirituality (WVIS). Through her facilitation, participants will, using Ignatian meditation, prayerfully ponder Marian passages from scripture and ancient tradition with an opportunity to appreciate anew the spiritual truths found in Mary’s scriptural stories. This practice offers the chance for each person to use their imaginations to meet Mary again, as if for the first time.
