"INTO FLIGHT ONCE MORE" - A Documentary Film

INTO FLIGHT ONCE MORE, narrated by Gary Sinise, brings the history of June 6, 1944 to the present through the lens of one squadron and their epic recreation journey across the North Atlantic to Normandy for the 75th Anniversary of D-Day. Along the trip we meet some of the last remaining D-Day Veterans and younger generations of men and women who have re-charted their path to honor their sacrifice and thank them for their service.

We meet veterans at each stop on the journey from the US to France, as they reconnect with the planes that flew, provisioned, rescued, supported and meant so much to them during wartime. These honorable WWII men and women veterans reveal never before heard information as seeing these planes sparks memories held deep inside.

In 2019, fifteen C-47 and DC-3 aircraft from the United States flew across the Atlantic Ocean once again, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day and the 70th anniversary of the Berlin Airlift. With their European counterparts, they once more dropped paratroopers into Normandy and brought history to life through public events in Britain, France, Germany, and Italy. This is their story.Featuring guest speakers Terron Lindholme, 82nd Airborne veteran and 75th anniversary paratrooper, and Dick Nelms, WWII B-17 pilot of thirty-five missions over Europe and nationwide speaker.This screening is a fundraiser for Commemorative Air Force Rainier Squadron.
