Event description

Description

The Art of Social Justice Panel serves to amplify intergenerational ARTIVISTS; luminaries who are working at the intersection of art, organizing and civic voice. Artivists are the leaders who agitate, excite, ignite, catalyze and mobilize lasting change. Every generation owes its advance to the generation before and after them. Moderators Eleuthera Lisch, long-standing social justice advocate, activist and artist and Llana Ludovico, artivist consultant, DJ and entrepreneur will discuss the vital role art plays in the times of most peril and divide. This panel brings movements of the past and present to discuss the art of social justice today. At the crossroad of every important moment in history, artists, creative civic leaders, and imaginative mobilizers have banded together to shape the new culture and bring fertile ground for the growth of new movements: artistic, political, social, and cultural.

Moderators: Eleuthera Lisch, Director of Impact, INTO ACTION, Llana Ludovico, Design Coordinator, INTO ACTION
Introduction: Peter Coyote
Panelists: Yosi Sergant, Chuck D, Favianna Rodriguez and Gina Belafonte
