INTERWOVEN
Karlovsky & Company Dance presents the digital premiere of INTERWOVEN available for online viewing from March 26 through April 11, 2021. INTERWOVEN brings to life choreographic nature-inspired landscapes through this evening-length production that involves multifaceted collaboration and integration of contemporary dance-theater, live music, spoken word, and visual art. Inspired by the language of trees, INTERWOVEN provides, through dance, an abstract reflection on our humanity, community, and our communication and connection with nature and our environment.

Karlovsky & Company Dance is a St. Louis-based contemporary modern dance company dedicated to exploring and presenting the art of dance with innovative choreography that illuminates the human experience. The company fosters collaborative relationships among musicians, visual artists, and choreographers reaching local, national, and international audiences through concert performances, dance for the camera, site-specific dance, and community and education programs for older adults and children. Karlovsky & Company Dance, is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization in residence at the Grandel Theatre with support by the Kranzberg Arts Foundation.
Since the inception of the company in 2012, the works of Karlovsky & Company Dance have been commissioned internationally with tours to France and South Africa, and nationally presenting in New York City, Minneapolis, Tulsa, and San Francisco. Founder and artistic director, Dawn Karlovsky, aspires to connect with audiences through stimulating and thought-provoking dance that provides an experience for the viewer and evokes personal reflection. Karlovsky teaches Modern Dance and the Alexander Technique at Washington University/University College and Webster University in St. Louis, and is a nationally certified teacher of the Alexander Technique (AmSAT) since 2004. Karlovsky is a recipient of the Artist Fellowship Award in Dance by The Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis.
