Interviewing Strategies for Success
Facilitated by Lauren DePaul
This workshop is designed to teach participants how to identify and market professional skills and experiences during an interview.
Participants will learn about the types of questions that are asked during an interview, how to structure an interview answer and how to create an outline to prepare for their next interview. Workshop attendees and the facilitator will work together to practice interviewing skills and each participant will discover how to best market their unique skills and experiences to employers.
About the Facilitator
Lauren has been working in higher education since 2011. As a Graduate Assistant at Salisbury University she worked in two offices at the University. In the Center for Academic Success Lauren helped undergraduate students develop study strategies and organizing skills that would allow them to be successful in the college and in the Career Services Office Lauren assisted undergraduate, graduate and alumni in resumes and cover letter writing. In 2012, Lauren moved on to Drexel University as the Coordinator of the Honors Program where she presented career-related workshops to Honors students. Workshop topics included: Interviewing Strategies for Success, Job Searching in the 21st Century and Making Your Travel Experience Work for You. Currently Lauren is working at Immaculata University as the Assistant Director of the Academic Success Center. In this role Lauren wears many hats and work collaboratively with her co-workers to meet with students who are struggling academically, coordinate academic accommodations for students with disabilities, write the curriculum for two 1-credit courses and manage the University’s tutoring program.
