Event description

Description

It's a performance
It's participatory
It's a party
It's a potluck

This Seattle premiere of Lelavision's new performance work featuring Ela Lamblin's large scale kinetic and musical sculpture, Interspecies Communication, and Leah Mann's choreography is a performative ritual that brings together diverse local dance and music groups, as well as, audience participants for a "human murmuration" or group behavior game.

Donations will be welcomed at the event to cover unexpected costs incurred.

BRING POTLUCK DISH - MAIN OR SIDE. Bring your own plates, cups, utensils, napkins and your own beverages. Bring blankets and or lawn chairs. Let's make this a no trash bash!!! There are grills available. Hot dogs but, PLEASE, NO DOGS! Please RSVP!! Come sing, dance, eat and play together in a joyful space.

***There is only street parking. Allow 20 mins to park and walk into park. The opening prayer, water protocol, drumming and singing by the Duwamish Tribe will begin at 3pm. You won't want to miss this!

Special thanks to our sponsors: Jackstraw Cultural Community Center, 4Culture for the Arts, City of Seattle Parks and Rec Arts in the Parks Program, Blackrock City Arts Foundation, our Kickstarter contributors and our installation crew and Interspecies Camp at Blackrock City.

Blessings from the Lelavisionaries! We'll see you there!
