Event description

Description

In post-apartheid South Africa, Bongani hurtles toward destruction. Corinne, from an activist Jewish family, is desperate to rescue him...and her struggling country. Bongani thinks she should rescue herself.

Directed by Kate Holland and Chuk Obasi

BONGANI, by Gabrielle Maisels, excavates the apartheid that remains after Apartheid is dismantled. The play asks what is possible for relationships across race and class, examines the role of white liberals in the power structure, and invites us inside the passion and yearning of one young boy.

ADMISSION IS FREE, but seats are very limited. Please RESERVE above.

Talkback and reception to follow.
