Event description

Description

Have you ever had a question you felt uncomfortable asking in church?

So have we.

That’s why we’ve started Intersect DC—to help close the gap that exists between faith and questions. And we invite you to join us for lunch.

Each Wednesday at Noon, we’re making the word real and relevant through honest conversation, rooted in the teachings of the Bible and led by William Lamar, IV, Pastor at Metropolitan AME Church.

No question is too big or too small—and nothing is off limits.

  • Eat & Ask. A 35-minute open dialogue about faith and questions during lunch, in the middle of the workweek; you’ll be back in time for your 1pm meeting.
  • Be Fed. We’re making the Bible make sense, based on the issues that we all deal with today—How do I trust prayer when the outcomes are still unchanged? Why is there suffering? Why doesn’t the church do something about its own racist habits?
  • Take part in a growing faith community as you power through your week.

Join us at Noon on Wednesday, September 27, at Metropolitan AME Church 1518 M Street, Northwest, Washington, DC 20005.
