On August 30, 2012 10,000 viewers showed up at the Walker Art Center’s summer-long experiment, Open Field, for the first Internet Cat Video Festival, an event with a name that has become ubiquitous in Internet culture and art circles alike. Now, the festival is going on tour. The Harbor Gallery at UMass Boston is pleased to announce that it is engaging in a collaborative effort with the Walker Art Center that will make UMB campus the first stop. Program Director Scott Stulen, one of the event’s creators, is coordinating with the Harbor Gallery, to make this phenomenal event possible. Screening will occur on October 23, outdoors on the UMass Boston campus from 7:00 until 8:30 PM. As seating will be free range, attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets and foldable chairs. This event is free to attend and open to the public.
Registration is not required, although it is appreciated.
