‘There has been an international trend in recent years towards using ‘areas of learning’ as curriculum organisers, sometimes combining disciplinary learning and wider capabilities or capacities.
Subjects and disciplines should remain important but that these should be grouped within six Areas of Learning and Experience. Each of these Areas of Learning and Experience should include, where appropriate, both a Welsh dimension and an international perspective.’ Professor Graham Donaldson
The International Dimension features very strongly in schools across the region and we have worked closely with schools and local authorities across the globe. This conference disseminates good practice gained whilst working with partners from countries all over the world including Europe, China and USA all aiming to improve education for our young learners. Partners from at least 8 European countries and from China will be amongst the presenters and delegates giving all participants the opportunity to learn from their experiences and discuss ways of embedding similar good practice in their own setting.
