Art Exhibit provided by JaxAbstracts: The Exercise of Freedom"
Jus Jackson aka Jax is a freelance artist based in Charlotte, NC. Jax experiments with many art forms but primarily focuses on canvas paintings. His canvas pieces are purely abstract and use geometric forms to symbolize his unique perspective on life. Jax dabbles in the art form he calls "Salvage Restoration" which he says is taking old, forgotten materials and turning them into art pieces. This art form is somewhat like his mantra, because his belief is that anything salvaged can be turned into art. Learn More about Jax

Theresa Crisci, founder of Total-balance Life Choice, once had a high-stress corporate job. In 1992, she took a relaxing vacation for the first time in many years. Theresa was inspired to give up her stressful job and become a massage therapist. Since then, Theresa and her associates have helped hundreds of corporate employees learn to relax, eat more sensibly, take better care of themselves—and, as a side benefit, be more productive at their jobs. Enola Aird is the founder and president of Community Healing Network which is building the global grassroots movement for emotional emancipation--to help Black people heal from, and dismantle, the foundation of anti-Black racism: the centuries-old narrative driven by the lies of White superiority and Black inferiority. Enola is an activist mother and a former corporate lawyer. She has worked at the Children’s Defense Fund, leading its violence prevention initiative and serving as acting director of its Black Community Crusade for Children; is a past chair of the Connecticut Commission on Children; and was a visiting scholar at the Judge Baker Children’s Center in Boston. She is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Barnard College, and earned her law degree from Yale University. Enola was born in the Republic of Panama, of West Indian heritage, and attributes much of her passion for the movement for emotional emancipation to stories passed down in her family about her great-grandfather who was a loyal follower of Marcus Garvey.
