International Women’s Conference (IWC 2017)

A Weekend get away for Women - to celebrate women’s solidarity. Welcome Women from every Religion, Tribe, Ethnicity and Culture etc. Together we will Enlighten, Network, Relax, make Friends and have Fun.

1. Early Bird Registration - Weekend Package ($150) includes meals, workshops, banquet and fashion show. Extended Deadline: October 8, 2017.

2. Conference Registration: Per Person is $200. Price includes, all weekend events (including Friday's Cool Down), meals, and workshops. A Special Treat for all Conference Registrants, our Transport will pick us up from the Hote and take us to our Dinning Destination (4:30pm). Friday Cool Down = Dinner, Al Fresco by the Sea

3. Youth Conference Package $75. Ages 10-17 years. Price includes workshops, banquet and fashion show.

FYI: We are working to secure Sponsors to offset the Youth and Teen costs. So let us commit to participating as if IWC2017 have found Sponsor Angel(s). If a youth or teen wants to participate, please join our first Live Meeting on September 23rd. Email to RSVP and receive the Los Angeles Address.

Vendors: Weekend Vendor Special, $200. Price includes all meals & workshops entry. Saturday (9am-10pm) and Sunday (9:30am-5pm). Set up time Saturday and Sunday is (7-8:30am). Disclaimer, Vendor must arrive to Venue in time to be set up by 8:30am. Strictly adhered. If you miss the set up time, you will not be allowed to set up and No Refunds will be issued. Vend Per Day Rate is $125. Email us your Application request and we will send immediately. Application Submission & Payment Deadline is September 30th.

SATURDAY - Breakfast (8:30-9:40a.m).- Welcome & Introductions (9:45 am) - Workshop Presentations (10:00am-12:25pm) - Lunch (12:30-1:30pm) - Workshops continues (1:30-3:30pm) - Workshop Close Out (3:45-4:45pm). Solidarity Banquet (7-10 pm) Guest Speaker, Ayesha K. Mustafaa, Editor and Publisher of the Muslim Journal Newspaper (international). An Assistant Professor of Mass Communications at Tougaloo College. Professor Mustafaa is an Alum of Columbia College and graduated with a Master's Degree in Journalism. A Trail blazer and a gracious, southern "Shero" with a whole lot to share.

WORKSHOP PRESENTERS

1. Author, Nyame Selassi will be on hand to share and discuss her new book, Gangster to Guru. This is her third book and is about Detroit’s Black Mafia. Nyame life story will surprise, enlighten, and gurantee to keep you reading. Nyame's sharing of her Mission in Life is a must hear. Q & A afterwards.

2. Entrepreneur, Sherri Franklin will share her knowledge and expertise. Sherri Franklin, is the founder of Urban Design Center, and has 23 years experience spearheading the development of affordable housing, community facility, recreational, open space, infrastructure, economic development and social enterprise projects financed by city and state bond financing, federal grants, foundations, conventional lenders and private equity investors. As a staunch fiduciary agent, Ms. Franklin's primary life mission is to build the capacity of community leaders and organizations to serve their dynamic communities on a long-term basis. Ms. Franklin is a much sought after Consultant in California and Nationally. A successful entrepreneur, she has made a commiitment to herself, to share her knowledge and expertise with Women.

3. Medical Doctor, Zakiyyah Rasheed and Team, will hosts the Women’s Health Wellness and Zen Workshop. Always a popular workshop. Dr. Rasheed is an Alum of the IWC2017 Host Organization, she attended CMS - Los Angeles. The attributes or adjective use to professionally describe Dr. Rasheed are famous and brilliant. Note: Dr Rasheed answered the call and took the baton of previous Conference physician, now retired Hafeezah Al-Uqdah. Don't worry ladies, Hafeezah will be on board (she just turned 80 years young). More to come on the Womens Health Wellness Team - Western and Holistic in Harmony.

4. Samia Bano, Founder of Academy OF Thriving will share "How to Make Change Fun and Easy". Samia is the author of the upcoming book, "Make Change Fun and Easy: How to Create Inner Peace to World Peace In 3 Simple Steps".

5. Yoli Tamu, is an International Educator, a Song Writer, Performer, an Entrepreneur and Inspirational Speaker focusing on helping Mothers and Daughter bond better and to encourage youth and teen to create an unbreakable commitment to oneself, so it will be easier to establish an unbreakable bond with someone else.

6. Dr. Malika Salaam-Ambolley, is a Career Educator of 35 years, an International Education Consultant, Teen Mentor, Empowerment Coach, Motivational Speaker and an Author of My Life Journey: Through My Own Eyes. Dr. Ambolley is super proud of her son, Ephraim Salaam, retired NFL Player, who continues in his mother foot steps and his own by being a role model and mentoring todays youth. 7. Kiki Ayers, is a celebrity entertainment reporter and C.E.O of Ayers Publicity. She recently spoke to a group of 300 Youth and Teen in London, England which showcases a yourg woman totally committed to empowering Young People by by sharing her homeless to celebrity experiences and the knowledge and strenghth gain from adversity. Wrap Technicians, Scarf Wrap Workshop (1-3pm) offers participatory Demos (Four Individual styles will be demonstrated by separate technicians). Bring your Scarf or purchase beautiful scarves and material from our on- site Vendors. Ready Set, Practice makes Perfect.

Contribute to the Health, Wellness and Zen Workshop supplies

This Event Purpose:

  1. An Annual Fundraiser and Meeting Event for All Women.
  2. To start a Southern California Janaza (burial) Fund. One Fourth of Conference Proceeds will be given to this Fund.
  3. Support for WUME, a non - profit women organization that assists homeless women and children and individuals experiencing a temporary crisis. One Fourth of Conference Proceeds will be donated to WUME 2017. FYI: This Annual Event will be Co-Hosts, each year by a different Sister Organization or Community (ex. Anaheim, Bakersfield, Las Vegas, Bermuda, Los Angeles, Pasadena/Altadena), with One-Fourth of Event Proceeds being donated to that Organization. With each successful event a Sister Organization will be added to the Donation Rotation. Selection process will gather input, organizations interested or suggestions from each year’s Conference attendees. This Annual Conference in 2019 will be prepared to travel and host the Event is other locations.
  4. The Conference Host, CMS NAA (University of Islam and Clara Muhammad School National Alumni Association). a national non-profit organization, will receive one fourth of the proceeds.
  5. International Women"s Conference (IWC) will receive one fourth of the proceeds.

ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

No, but if mothers must bring their little ones, please let us know that you will need Baby sitting services for a fee.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Old Town Pasadena is a wonderful area. The Metro Rail-Yellow Line is available, The Metro Bus System is great and we recommend Lyft for car service from the airports and back etc. Lyft is most affordable and timely. We do not recommend Uber. Make sure you download the Lyft App to your cell phones.

The Hotel is closer to the Bob Hope Airport, but LAX is the main airport in Los Angeles County

What's the refund policy?

A Refund is available for purchases made before October 1, 2017. Upon your request we will returned your Refund within Thirty-five days after the Event minus IWC Administration and Service Fees ($35).

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

There will be a Master List, please bring proof of purchase (just to be safe)

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

You may "Gift" your ticket

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Yes,they will need to fill out a Registration Form, available on request. Note: This is a women's only event.
