Event description

Description

On behalf of the Buddhist Council of America, I would like to invite you all to attend and participate International Vesak Day ceremony, a holiday that was recognized and adopted by the United Nations on May 15, 1999.

International Vesak Day is an important day for Buddhist communities across Michigan and the world. It marks the three most important events in Buddha’s life: his birth, Enlightenment and passed away of Nibbana. Each year, International Vesak Day commemorates Lord Buddha and his teachings that provide guidance around non-violent actions to work for universal peace throughout the world. We, the Buddhist communities across America, celebrate this important day with a focus on spreading the loving kindness and world peace.

It would be an honor to your presence during this opening ceremony.

For more information or to confirm your attendance, please contact me at (313) 459-1908. Email: dharmananda_ipm@yahoo.com.

Sincerely,

Dharmananada Mahaprabhu Barua

President of the Buddhist Council of America
