Event description

Description

The purpose of this symposium is to bring established investigators and junior researchers together to expand this exciting field. Attendance will be limited, making it an ideal setting for discussion and learning. For details, visit the symposium website, https://amyloiddiseases.wixsite.com/symposium2019.

The scientific program includes talks by the top international experts in the field as well as in-depth discussions during the informal sessions. Our aim is to summarize what is already scientifically known and learn about the cutting-edge research, and to create a forum where junior trainees can meet and network with established investigators.

The topics include Human amyloid imaging, Animal models of amyloid diseases, Drug design and development for amyloid diseases, Amyloid enhancing viral infections, Bacterial and functional amyloids, Cellular toxicity, Effects of cross-seeding, crowding and cell membrane, Mechanistic insights into pathology of amyloid diseases, Theoretical, computational and experimental studies on toxic oligomers, and Instrumentation, technology and novel approaches for in vitro and in vivostudies of amyloid diseases.

Cheers,
