Welcome to New International Student Symposium Spring 2017! The college-wide Symposium is scheduled for Thursday, January 5, 2017, in the John Ernst Building on the Annandale Campus. This Orientation is MANDATORY for ALL new and transferring F1 students before you may begin your fall classes. Please only register for the F1 Symposium on this day and no other registration/orientation programs. Please register no later than Wednesday, December 28, 2017, so that we may have an accurate count for lunch and prizes. If you need transportation to the Annandale campus, you can take a special NOVA shuttle. The shuttle will depart your home campus by 8:00 AM, to bring you to the Annandale campus; check-in begins at 8:30AM, the Symposium begins promptly at 9:00 AM. After the orientation the shuttles will leave the Annandale campus at 4:30 PM to take you back to your home campus.

Alexandria (AL) Bisdorf Building/Main Entrance on Dawes Ave. near parking lot A/B;
Loudoun (LO) B-1 or B-2 Parking Lot;
Manassas (MA) Outside Howsmon Hall on the traffic circle
Woodbridge (WO) Seefedlt Building (WC) building
*Transportation will not be provided for those students who have registered Annandale as their home campus. You must find transportation to the Annandale Campus. *Shuttles will depart the Orientation promptly at 4:30PM. *You may also drive or get a ride with a friend to Annandale.

From the Capital Beltway (I-495) Take Exit 52-A (Little River Turnpike) west towards Fairfax Make a left at the third traffic light (Wakefield Chapel Road) Once on Wakefield Chapel Road, the campus will be on your left
From I-95 Take I-495 toward Tysons Corner Take Exit 52-A (Little River Turnpike) west towards Fairfax Make a left at the third traffic light (Wakefield Chapel Road) Once on Wakefield Chapel Road, the campus will be on your left
From Route 66 Exit onto the Capital Beltway (I-495 toward Richmond) Take Exit 52-A (Little River Turnpike) After approximately 1/2 mile, the college will be on the left-hand side From Route 50, Fairfax Area Take Route 50 to Route 236 (Little River Turnpike) Turn right on Wakefield Chapel Road Once on Wakefield Chapel Road, the campus will be on your left

Start Strong at NOVA (SOAR) If you have been admitted to the associate degree program and you are a first-time-to-college student, ages 17-24 (including high school/homeschool/GED graduates), there is a mandatory program to help you start strong and succeed at NOVA. Students who are admitted to the Intensive English program for the fall semester will be eligible for this program in the future when they are admitted to the degree program. NOTE: The GPS Orientation is in addition to the International Student Symposium. You may enroll in classes after the GPS Orientation and before the International Student Symposium.
