Event description

Description

International Observe the Moon Night

This is an NJAA "Young Astronomer's" event for children ages 7 - 13.  Please note that a parent or guardian must attend the event with their child.

We'll join hundreds of other sites around the world to celebrate International Observe the Moon Night. A virtual tour with close-up pictures from the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter and other Moon missions as well as visits to the Apollo landing sites will begin our evening. What kind of cooperation would it take for us to have a successful mission to the Moon? With hope, the skies will cooperate and we'll focus NJAA club telescopes at our nearest neighbor and enjoy a beautiful first quarter moon.
