Event description

Description

You are invited to join a first-of-its-kind market research training program being offered exclusively in Fargo. Market research can be expensive, but did you know there are tools available for FREE that can help you identify top markets, find potential buyers, and develop an international strategy?

Join the US Commercial Service / North Dakota staff and learn about online tools that you can use in-house to do your own market research. During this half-day seminar, you receive a workbook and will begin doing real research to classify your products, research top countries for your industry, find trade events, find buyers, and identify other unexpected hurdles while exporting using tools more sophisticated than an online search engine, while still free and easy. Also hear from companies experienced in international market research and exporting. For questions, email Heather Ranck at heather.ranck@trade.gov, or call 701-239-5080.

Topics covered include:

  • Identify top markets for your product

  • Classify your product for export

  • Research your industry and worldwide trade flows

  • Search for trade events

  • Identify market entry partners

  • Calculate landed cost

  • Find where to go for more in-depth market research

Parking permits for NDSU will be mailed to you prior to the event. The Commodity Trading Room is located on the first floor of Barry Hall. Lunch will be provided.
