Who is this qualification for?
This qualification is aimed at individuals responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of HACCP systems and is intended predominantly for learners already working in manufacturing and who have a sound knowledge of food safety hazards and controls.
How long will it take?
To complete this qualification learners should expect to undertake 20 hours of learning.
These include - the importance of HACCP-based food safety management procedures, the preliminary processes for HACCP-based procedures, how to develop HACCP-based food safety management procedures, how to implement HACCP-based food safety management procedures and how to evaluate HACCP based procedures.
HABC Level 3 Award in HACCP for Food Manufacturing (QCF)
There are no formal prerequisites for this course, although a Level 2 Food Safety qualification and relevant food industry experience will be beneficial.
Course Assessment Process
This qualification is assessed through a 60-question multiple-choice question examination.
The duration of the examination is 2 hours.
Successful learners must achieve a score of at least 40 out of 60.
