Event description
The premier online national training program for donors, foundations & corporations involved in or contemplating international grantmaking.

About this event

Now in its sixth year, the International Grantmaking Symposium—IGS 2021—is the premier convening for practitioners dedicated to advancing international philanthropy, sharing best practices, impact measurement, and staying well informed regarding laws, rules, and regulations governing cross-border giving. Presented in a virtual format, IGS 2021 participants will receive online training on November 8 and access to recordings of all training after the event.

This Online Symposium will provide the tools to ensure compliance with domestic and international laws and explore the immediate and long-term implications of current trends on domestic and cross-border philanthropy. Participants will learn how to effectively operationalize international grantmaking, meet the challenges of disaster philanthropy and develop meaningful impactful philanthropic programs. Find additional details at igsymposium.org

Please note: Registration fees are used solely for offsetting the costs of the Symposium. There are no refunds allowed for this event. You can send a substitute delegate if you wish. Contact us for details, should last-minute changes prohibit you from participating.

Organizer CAF America Donor Advised Funds

Organizer of International Grantmaking Symposium (Online) - IGS 2021

CAF America is a donor-advised fund assisting corporations, foundations, families, and individuals with tax-effective philanthropy. We serve as a back office for advisors eliminating the risk and administrative burden of grantmaking. Through our work, we help donors support great causes by assisting them in making strategic, effective, and tax-advantaged grants internationally and domestically.

American donors cannot give directly to international charitable organizations and obtain a tax deduction. As a US public charity, CAF America is able to accept funds from American donors who can then recommend those funds to over 1.8 million domestic and international charitable organizations eligible with CAF America.
