This conference will be in a hybrid format where participants may attend live at Medgar Evers College/CUNY, Brooklyn, NY 11225 or hybrid. In-person attendees must be fully vaccinated, per CUNY policy. (See below)

  • Gala Night and Awards, Friday, 5:30PM – 9:00PM: The event will honour those in their various roles and interventions have been promoting safe and regular migrations across the continents, including America.

Appraising Human Mobility And Security: Prospects And the New Challenges Of Labour Migration Post Pandemic Era.

Aims And Objectives Of The Summit:

  • To promote academic and migration robust policy inputs on safe, orderly, and regular migration among nations and individuals across the globe regarding human development and quality information as contained by the United Nations.
  • To serve as an avenue to enhance media professionals and other stakeholders' capacity on migration matters in partnership with the MEC, City University.
  • To facilitate networking among migration advocates, institutions, and government towards promoting migrants' rights, gender sensitivity and migration governance.
  • To promote benefits in regular migration as part of human development and create an avenue to exchange knowledge, especially between the JIFORM and MEC-CUNY, through integrations with the students and other participants.
  • To facilitate the economy's advancement through knowledge sharing among academics, migration advocates, media, organizations, and others.
  • To further develop the capacity of journalists , youths (student), stakeholders from several countries willing to relate with the CUNY academic community.

PROTOCOLS FOR ENTERING THE CAMPUS

The City University of New York (CUNY) is using the Cleared4 system to provide a secure way for you to submit this information and receive a CUNY access pass (sometimes known as a “GreenPass”) that enables visitors access to Medgar Evers College.

Submitting COVID-19 vaccination proof

Those who have received the COVID-19 vaccination dose(s) to qualify as fully vaccinated can use the link in “Link to Register and Submit Proof,” to register, upload proof of your vaccination and enter some supporting information.

After your submission has been verified by CUNY, you will receive a CUNY access pass that permits you access to any CUNY location.

A vaccination CUNY access pass expires one year after the date on which the CDC considers you fully vaccinated.

Submitting Negative COVID-19 PCR testing results

CUNY permits unvaccinated individuals to access CUNY locations if they can demonstrate proof of negative COVID-19 PCR testing results within the seven days prior to their visit.

After receiving your negative COVID-19 PCR testing results, use the link in “Link to Register and Submit Proof,” to register, upload proof of your test results and enter some supporting information. After your submission has been verified by CUNY, you will receive a CUNY access pass that permits you access to any CUNY location.

Note that a negative COVID-19 PCR test CUNY access pass expires seven days after the date on which the test sample was taken.
