The International Bagpipe Conference will bring together bagpipe musicians, academics and enthusiasts from all around the world to the National Piping Centre from 26 Feb to 28 Feb 2016 for the third edition of the biennal International Bagpipe Conference.
This event is organised in collaboration with the National Piping Centre, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Glasgow University with the support of the Bagpipe Society
From the ticket options please select the option you wish. There will be a visit to the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh on Friday. This visit is free (2-4pm) but should be booked with your ticket as numbers are limited to 15 places (first one, first served). Transport will probably be organised from the National Piping Centre.
The conference will be launched by an opening concert at 7pm at the National Piping Centre. We are excited to announce the participation of Belgian ensemble Bourdon Collectief with two baroque musettes, the brilliant Scott Wood Trio and a Bulgarian kaba gaida feature.
There will also be a Ceilidh on Saturday evening with as informal Bring your Own Bagpipe session which are both included in the conference ticket.
