Intermediate Program Evaluation Training

This two-day training workshop presents an opportunity to learn and practice methods for monitoring and evaluating public health programs. Additionally, it emphasizes using data to improve programs and to share your program’s story. The workshop contains a mixture of teaching and practice, giving participants the opportunity to test and apply what they are learning.

The workshop will help participants make monitoring and evaluation integral to programs, that is to make it a part of everything you do. You design your program with clear goals and objectives, collect data on an on-going basis, and use these data to continuously improve your program.

Learning Objectives - Monitoring and Evaluation beyond the logic model:

· The difference between monitoring and evaluation

· Writing evaluation questions related to program objectives

· Key informant interviews and surveys

· Finding secondary data sources

· Sharing your program's story

This workshop is sponsored and facilitated by the ANTHC Alaska Native Epidemiology Center.
