Description

Houston Intermediate Midwifery Workshop

This workshop is designed for junior & senior students and new midwives, if you are a beginning student or a doula, please inquire about our beginning midwifery workshops.

Join internationally-trained, Hawaii-based, nationanally certified professional midwife, Augustine Colebrook for a midwifery immersive! Each one of the topics below could be a workshop on its own, but you get to attend everyone of them in this amazing long weekend workshop! Come prepared to take in a tremendous amount of information everyday!

We meet at 8 am every day, content begins at 8:30, continental breakfast will be available for those of you in a rush. Wear comfortable clothes, we get up and move and do role plays a lot - the last day can get messy with blood loss estimation and suturing practice - so plan accordingly.

Ample lunch breaks are scheduled to optimize information retention. Certificate of completion awarded at the conclusion, as well as any relevant skills sign off for NARM or MCU, BirthWIse, Bastyr, NCM, Birthingway, Nizhoni, and NMI. You are responsible for bringing all the required paperwork for your school program for me to sign. You may take pictures of the slide show and of role plays, but you may not record the presentation.

We will end as close to 5 pm as possible all days. If you need skills signed off, please plan to stay late each day to get those signed as we go - not all at the end of the last day!
