Textbook: Japanese for Busy People, Vol. 3, Revised 3rd Edition Japanese for Busy People Vol.3 Workbook is also used for additional listening and conversational practice. Students are responsible for purchasing textbooks and workbooks. This class may use additional materials provided by the instructor. Teaching materials and lessons covered may vary slightly from class to class.
Intermediate IV is for students who have completed Intermediate III with JSNC or for students with previous Japanese language experience equivalent to our Intermediate III level. It is required that you are able to read and write hiragana and katakana. Some knowledge of kanji is expected for this level (160-200 kanji). Students should understand grammatical items such as hypothetical/conditional statements, expressing a sequence of events/volition and plain form of adjectives, etc. In this class, N3/N4 level of kanji will be covered to improve your kanji skill by using the material prepared by instructor.
