Intermediate iPad Digital Storytelling
Participants in this workshop will learn more advanced techniques for creating digital stories on the iPad using the commercial app Pinnacle Studio for iPad. Techniques will include adding still image or video clips as “B-roll” footage, adding background music or importing other audio, and using a variety of video transitions. Participants will also learn how to use free iPad teleprompter apps to help in the video production process. These techniques go beyond the digital storytelling / “quick-edit video” possibilities of iMovie for iPad, and are appropriate for intermediate or advanced iPad users.
Participants are encouraged (but not required) to take other Storychaser iPad Digital Storytelling workshops prior to this class, including "Narrated Slideshows and Screencasts with the iPad" and "iPad Quick Edit Videography."
This is a BYOD (bring your own device: iPad) workshop, and is 1 of 4 iPad-based digital storytelling workshops offered by Storychasers. Participants should come with required apps already installed on their iPads. A $10 discount is available to teachers in member-districts of the Canadian Valley Tech Consortium. (Contact Don Wilson or Scott Charlson for the discount code to use when registering.)
