Textbook: Japanese for Busy People, Vol. 2, Revised 3rd Edition, lessons 11-15. Teaching materials and lesson content covered may vary slightly from class to class. Students are responsible for purchasing textbooks.
Intermediate III is for students who have completed the Intermediate II with the JSNC or for students with previous Japanese language experience equivalent to our Intermediate II level. It is required that you are able to read and write both hiragana and katakana. Some knowledge of kanji is expected for this level (100-110 kanji). Students are expected to understand grammatical items such as "masu-form", "dictionary-form" ,"nai-form" of verbs, expressing a sequence of events, plain and "te-form" of adjectives. 160 basic kanji are introduced in this textbook. If you need assistance to gauge your language ability, please contact the Japan Society Language Class Coordinator.
The deadline for all class changes, refunds, and final registration for this class is Friday, January 24th.
