Interludes: A New (Orleans) Play
3rd Anniversary Performance
10% of ticket sales will be donated to Standing Rock.
On December 3, 2013, a small group of artists and friends gathered around the Barrow Group in NYC for the first magical performance of Interludes: A New (Orleans) Play. Since then, Claire Christine Sargenti's vision of Interludes has grown to include a vast number of artists, including Darrell Smith, our fearless composer. Together, Sargenti and Smith have taken Interludes across America, and are very proud and excited to bring Interludes home to New Orleans for our anniversary celebration.
It is also playwright Claire Christine Sargenti's 28th birthday. That's right. She is about to outlive Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Amy Winehouse, Jim Morrison, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Kurt Cobain, which means she'll have to get famous the old fashioned way. Come celebrate life with us! We've got the venue to our selves till 2am so lets party!
About Interludes: A New (Orleans) Play is a solo show written and performed by Claire Christine Sargenti with original jazz music composed by Darrell Smith and performed by the Interludes Jazz Band. Violence, passion, and faith catapult 12 uniquely spirited characters on a unifying journey through the chaos of life (and death) in the City That Care Forgot. Pure, honest, and as heart-warming as it is heart-breaking, Interludes reminds us that what’s worth dying for is also worth living for.
