The Interfaith Space is the result of MJSC’s exponential growth, and increased demand for our offerings. This dedicated space will allow us to provide more consistent programs and welcome people of all faiths. It is also a testament to our community's dedication and passion for a city united in a love for diversity and neighborly solidarity.
Mohammed Al Samawi is an interfaith activist, a refugee from Yemen, and the author of the autobiography The Fox Hunt, which tells the story of his journey and his interfaith dedication that ultimately saved his life when four years ago, American strangers helped rescue him from the threat of death in Yemen. Mohammed is committed to the exchange of core values that define our religious traditions in order to foster an environment of learning, respect, and social change. A movie based on Mohammed’s book is currently being developed by producer Marc Platt and Academy Award winner Josh Singer.
