About this event
Welcome to Birch Creek Farmery! We are a 1000+ acre working farm in Southwestern PA. We raise rare, heritage breed animals like Mangalitsa hogs, Piedmontese cattle, Muscovy duck, Icelandic sheep, and more.
Whether it's for date night, a family outing, a group of friends, or as a gift for someone else, this tour allows you to get your boots on and meet and greet our animals, the new babies, and characters around the farm like an 800lb Berkshire boar named Charles, Finnbar the Icelandic ram, working dogs, laying hens, foraging ducks, grazing cattle, and more! You'll learn about how we promote and practice sustainable agriculture, ethical animal husbandry, and see all the behind the scenes hard work for this to all come together.
