Description

The Interactive STEM Development Seminar is a workshop where minority STEM professionals facilitate scientific experiments, logic challenges, engineering projects and mathematical games for the students. This seminar will introduce and expose students to STEM professions and provide hands on experience with real world topics and problems. This session we will explore topics in Physics and Biomedical Engineering. You will build cars powered by house hold materials and a working prosthetic hand, capable of lifting objects. We will divide the participates into design teams. The team with the best design in both projects will win a prize.


IDEAL PARTICIPANT:

- Current High School students.

- Motivated minority students who are interested in topics in the STEM field.

- Students interested in meeting like-minded individuals.


PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:

- Play games and run experiments. Including prizes for best designs.

- Meet and network with minority professionals within the STEM fields.

- Welcome bag.
