Interactive Climate Solutions - exploring answers to the climate crisis
Event Information
About this Event
Join Citizens’ Climate Lobby - Dakota County, Conservation Minnesota, and Lakeville Friends of the Environment for a virtual climate change-focused group learning experience. We will learn about the realities of the climate crisis and then use En-ROADS—an interactive modeling tool—to further explore the causes of climate change and see which solutions will have the biggest impact on our future.
En-ROADS is a choose your own adventure simulator providing an interactive group learning experience that promotes greater understanding of the causes of climate change and the solutions essential to mitigating it.
This event is being moderated and presented by Bill Middlecamp. Bill is one of 20,000+ trained Climate Reality Leaders from over 150 countries. The Climate Reality Leadership Corps has been extraordinarily successful at reaching people in their communities and informing them about the climate crisis and the solutions – local, national, and global – that we can all support now.
For more than a decade, Bill has led public conversations about trends and technologies for the future. In addition to his Climate Reality certification and En-ROADS facilitator training, Bill has a BS degree in Meteorology, an MS degree in Computer Science, and is a commissioned United Methodist Earthkeeper and Board Member at Dakota Electric Association. Bill has participated in organizing and delivering presentations on environmental issues related to: health, economics, science, and solutions to the harmful changes we are seeing. Bill is retired, and dedicates himself to teaching about our degradation of the critical life-sustaining properties of the environment.
