The 2011 San Miguel Writers' Conference is an international event and will be fully bilingual. The Conference is widely promoted throughout Mexico, the U.S, and Canada.
Featuring: 6 General Session with featured speakers, 35 workshop options, 18 intensive workshop options with world class, best selling authors: Fiction, Memoir, Poetry, Travel, Publishing, Social Media, Playwriting, Non Fiction, Mystery, Performance,  Blogging, and Talking Gourd Fire Evening.

Sandra Cisneros is the founder of the Alfredo Cisneros del Moral  Foundation, the Elvira Cisneros Award and the Macondo Foundation, all of which  work on behalf of creative writers. She is the recipient of numerous awards including a MacArthur. 

Her writings include novels: THE HOUSE ON MANGO STREET and CARAMELO; short stories:  WOMAN HOLLERING CREEK; and poetry collections:  MY WICKED WICKED WAYS and LOOSE WOMAN.

This is a Writers' Conference and then some - registration includes extravaganza evening events, organic meals (with a fiesta flavor), and guided excursions in and around San Miuel de Allende.

The San Miguel Literary Sala is a non-profit organization funded by membership fees, outside donations, and monies received from fundraising events.  Every year they put on the annual San Miguel International Writers’ Conference and Literary Festival, a bilingual, co-cultural conference held in magical San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
