Intensive SBIR/STTR Proposal Prep for NIH

Each year the federal SBIR/STTR programs provide $2.6 billion in non-dilutive grant and contract funding to qualified small businesses to advance and commercialize game-changing technologies. Winning awards in these highly competitive federal programs requires strategic proposals and a thorough understanding of funding agency goals.
During this 1.5-day public workshop, nationally recognized SBIR expert and consummate trainer, Lisa Kurek, program director for SBIR Impact NYC will focused on the National Institutes of Health (NIH) program. Lisa will cover program essentials including:
- Information about eligibility for the SBIR Impact NYC program and how to apply
- Current information on the SBIR/STTR programs
- How to approach each section of your proposal
- Planning your commercialization strategy
- Writing to meet the reviewers’ expectations
- Common problems and pitfalls and how to avoid them

Day One begins ends at 4:30 p.m. and Day Two ends at noon.
Training will be in the Satow Rm. on the 5th Floor of Lerner Hall (directions and parking)
PLEASE NOTE: This training is mandatory for those who will be submitting applications for Cycle 1 of the 2016/17 SBIR Impact Program.
