Intelligent Lives stars threee pioneering young adults with intellectual disabilities - Micah, Naieer and Naomie - who challenge perceptions of inteeligence as they navigate high school, college, work, and community. Michigan-native Micah featured in the film was the first student with intellectual disabilities to be included in his neighborhood school, college and eventually in the university dorm after winning a federal law suit.

The award-winning film explores how narrow views of intelligence have led to the segregation of people with intellectual disabilities. The movie examines how technology, peers, circles of support, and transformative values can enable people wioth intellectual disabilities to live meaningful lives.
