Intelligence in Flux: With David Pratt Hunt, CIA - 10/31/13

David P. Hunt, retired senior CIA officer with 32 years’ experience, will draw vignettes from six field tours, including Italy, Vietnam, Somalia, Norway, France, and New York City to illustrate the type of cases which routinely occurred during the Cold War. He will describe a major post war program directed against the US and American proprietary business information, which lasted for 30 years. He will describe a profession in flux, as technology and cyber capabilities have offered new opportunities and problems as well. Lastly, he will comment on topics of current interest, including drones, the impact of Benghazi, and other issues, and take questions on any aspect of intelligence.
Mr. Hunt is a graduate of St. Paul's School and Colby College. He served in the US Army Counterintelligence Corps and spent a year in Korea. He holds the Donovan Award for Excellence and the Agency's Distinguished Intelligence Medal, its highest award.
Mr. Hunt serves as chairman of Charles Pratt & Company and the Dosoris Trust Company. He serves on the board of the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs and the Adirondack Chapter of the Nature Conservancy. He lectures occasionally on intelligence matters."
