Intellectual Property For Dream-ups & Start-ups
Tue, October 25, 2016, 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM NZDT
Intellectual property is at the heart of innovative new businesses. It is probably the most valuable asset you have. So don’t neglect it!
David Moore and Elena Szentivanyi of boutique IP firm Henry Hughes IP will pass on their tips for protecting your intellectual property and avoiding conflicts with others.
The seminar will include guidance on:
- Researching appropriate databases so that you don’t commit yourself to a brand which infringes someone else’s rights.
- Filing applications to register different types of IP.
- Engaging third parties to create IP for you.
- Disclosing your IP to others without letting them steal your ideas.
Between them, Elena and David have over 40 years’ experience advising on intellectual property. This will be a great opportunity to learn some important tips and to ask questions.
