Does the Integrative Harm Reduction Therapy training qualify for Continuing Education Credits?
Yes. This training is approved by NYS OASAS for six (6) initial & renewal clock hours per training day for Credentialed Alcohol & Substance Abuse Counselors (CASAC) and Credentialed Prevention Specialists (CPS). Those who complete the full three-day training will receive 18-hours of credits.
How can Integrative Harm Reduction Therapy be applied to patient care?
The training will provide a basic understanding of the full range of addictive behaviors and practical therapeutic techniques that can be used immediately in a wide variety of treatment settings including private practice, substance abuse treatment agencies, mental health centers, in-patient detox and rehab facilities and school counseling, among others.
Are there ID requirements to enter the event?
Any participant registered with a special rate as a Beth Israel/St. Luke's Roosevelt employee, or The New School Faculty/Staff Member or Student must show proper identification.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Participants are encouraged to bring case vignettes and questions for discussion.
Basic beverage and pastries will be provided all three days.
