Does the Integrative Harm Reduction Psychotherapy training qualify for Continuing Education Credits?
Yes. The New School for Social Research's Department of Psychology SW CPE is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #0199. Our program provides 18 hours of continuing education. This program has also been approved to provide 18 hours of continuing education credits for CASACs by the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS).
How can Integrative Harm Reduction Psychotherapy be applied to patient care?
The training will provide a basic understanding of the full range of addictive behaviors and practical therapeutic techniques that can be used immediately in a wide variety of treatment settings including private practice, substance abuse treatment agencies, mental health centers, in-patient detox and rehab facilities and school counseling, among others.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Participants are encouraged to bring case vignettes and questions for discussion.
Basic beverage and pastries will be provided all three days.
