Integrating Physical Literacy into a Home or Small Group Setting

The goal of this workshop is to support staff working with families to build their knowledge and confidence in applying physical literacy strategies in a home or small group setting. Through hands on activities, workshop attendees will :
Increase their knowledge and confidence related to physical literacy in home based or small group settings using growth and development principles;
Learn how to build physical literacy skills and knowledge among children and families;
Integrate physical literacy concepts with gross motor skill development, in both indoor and outdoor environments through play and exploration;
Learn activities using readily available equipment ;
Where applicable, learn how to incorporate physical literacy Play Kits to teach young children (0-6 years) about physical literacy.
Who should attend this workshop?
This workshop is intended for individuals who work with families in a home setting or in small groups. **This is an active workshop! Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes.**
