Event description

Description

Do you need help determining what language to teach and how to teach it?

Students learn English language every day inside and outside of classrooms, but input alone is not enough to move students toward proficiency. They also need instruction. This PD session targets the what and the how of language teaching so teachers can best support students to understand and communicate in English.

Join us for variety of learning activities:

  • Language 101

  • Combing key vocabulary with sentence frames to express complete ideas

  • Explicitly teaching language forms so students can generate original language

  • Rotate through centers and learn how to get the most out of the new Integrated ENL/ELA curriculum

When: Tuesday, February 6th (9:00-3:30)
Where: CUNY Graduate Center, 365 5th Ave (Room C201)
Bridges Contact: Virginia Skrelja (virginia@bridges-sifeproject.com)

Register soon! The session is limited to 40 participants.
Please look out for a short Teaching Channel task (late January).

**Administrators are included for reference only.
