Catherine Scherwenka is a Spiritual Mental Health and Wellness Guide who offers her wisdom and guidance for a one hour mindfulness session.

About this Event

Traditional talk therapies and prescription drugs left Catherine Scherwenka frustrated and numb after living through the traumatic experience of 9/11 in New York City. This frustration quickly turned into passion inspiring Catherine to search for alternative ways that would help her get through this traumatic period in her life. Catherine found a philosophy and meditation school in India, where she has spent a lot of time over the past 15 years studying and deepening her wisdom and practice. She also lived at the Academy in India for three years volunteering. One of Catherine’s companies, Inner Peace Initiative (IPI) was brought in after the 1 October shooting in Las Vegas to help guide and facilitate healing for the First Responders using the Art of Meditation. This year, Catherine published her first book called PTS(d) & a Drug Free Me on how to navigate trauma and PTS(d) using mindfulness and meditation.
