The Inspiring Women series brings inspiring stories of leading women in research and industry from around the world to the Helmholtz Munich community. These outstanding women are established leaders and/or recognised role models for Women in STEM.

The next inspiring woman in this series is Lara Urban, from the Helmholtz Pioneer Campus and the Helmholtz AI institute.

Lara Urban is a Principal Investigator at the Helmholtz Pioneer Campus and the Helmholtz AI institute. She also holds a faculty position at the Technical University of Munich School of Life Sciences. Her research focuses on how genomics, portable technology, and machine learning can benefit environmental health and nature conservation in the context of One Health, which affirms that human health and the health of our planet are inextricably linked.
