Thu, May 4, 2017, 6:45 PM – 8:15 PM BST
Ben Hunt-Davis' story of the preparation and racing in the 2000 Sydney Olympics is an inspiration to anyone who wants to achieve their dream goals - whether in sport, business or their wider lives. After racing in two previous Olympics and seven World Championships with nothing to show, Ben and his crew had one last chance to prove themselves at the highest level.
Come along and hear the incredible story of how a group of ordinary guys turned themselves around to win an Olympic Gold Medal, testing all aspects of their training, their beliefs and their organisation with the simple question "will it make the boat go faster?" Ben's story will inspire you and you'll be able to put many of his succesful tips to use in your own life.
Ben will speak for 50 minutes with numerous slides and a film of the Olympic final, followed by questions and answers. The event is applicable for all ages and for anyone who wants to be inspired to make their boat go faster in their own lives.
Neither Ben nor Burford School are charging for the event and 100% of the money raised will be donated to the St Joseph's Carterton Church Hall Fund to make urgent renovations to this busy community Hall.
