Event description

Description

We're offering a video skills session from Conceptavision as part of our next Inspiring Australia (NSW) stakeholder event followed, as usual, by networking drinks.

Make your National Science Week events go further by capturing and sharing video content on social media. Join experienced science video producers and storytellers Daisy De Windt and Jack McGrath who will share practical tips for making short videos using your smartphone. Learn how to craft professional videos to help spread your important message to more people.

This practical skills development workshop will briefly cover: how to write for the camera; how to appear more confident and professional on camera; and how to develop video content that captures the essence of a science talk, workshop or event.

We'll also update you on Inspiring Australia news and opportunities in the lead up to National Science Week that in NSW runs from 4-18 August.

Read this guest post from Daisy about why you should film your events.

Please feel free to invite colleagues who are participating in National Science Week and would like to develop video skills to promote their STEM research.

We hope you will stay and catch up with your science communication colleagues over drinks for one hour from 5pm.
