Event description
Learn how to craft a narrative that connects with your audience and compels them to take action for a better world!

About this Event

Facts tell, but Stories sell.

With stories, you can unlock hearts and inspire action for a better world!

In this course, you'll select anecdotes and experiences from your life to craft a compelling narrative and then express them through a video to inspire action towards a cause you are passionate about.

You'll be learning the Public Narrative technique developed by Marshall Ganz. This technique was taught to the community organisers for Barack Obama's presidential election campaign and has been credited for helping him win the election.

Course schedule

  • 28 Feb 10.30am - 5.30pm: Face2Face workshop at Crane (46 Kim Yam Rd)
  • Early Mar: Tap on the facils and your peers for feedback as you polish up your narrative
  • 17 Mar 8-9.30pm: Practice your narrative with a friendly audience at our Mother Earth Toastmasters Club session (on Zoom). Get feedback and the recording for you to review.
  • Late Mar: Create & share your video via social media
  • Early Apr: Gathering to share outcomes, learnings and suggestions for future courses

After you've signed up for the form, we'll get in touch with you to see if the course is right for you.

There are only 5 spots for the pilot. But regardless of whether you get selected this time, we plan to eventually serve everyone and will keep you in the loop.
