Join the Inspiral London walk for segment 18 from Kew Bridge, through Richmond Park to South Wimbledon as the inspiral continues toward the river Thames at Woolwich. We will stop in Richmond Park at around 12.30pm for an informal discussion of the project and for future inspiral ideas. A picnic will be provided for those who have signed up for the full festival, so bring refreshments if you haven't subscribed to the festival. And remember to wear suitable cloths and shoes depending on weather.
This is the final part of Inspiral London Festival 2016, 4 days of stimulating urban exploration, workshops, talks, dialogues, exchange and artistic interventions, about and on London’s new in/spiraling pathway. Introducing a wider public to Inspiral London trail, an artist-led walking project, the festival delves into the themes of deep topography, place, urban exploration and the other pleasures of walking.
counterproductions are delighted to host artists and producers from Marseille - creators of the GR2013 trail and a host of artists, walkers and writers from the UK. The festival includes trips through central London back in time to Swedenborg House, an afternoon looking into the future at Enderby Wharf (North Greenwich) and a day confronting the present at Stave Hill and Canary Wharf. Invited artists, urban planners, ecologists and producers will also investigate the role of artistic mapping, walking art, urban exploration and en-visioning, alongside exemplary artistic practices that re-figure space within large urban and semi-urban Metropolitan landscapes.
