Friends Who Are Going
Event description

The InSITE conference alumni often mention the conference as among the best organized and most supportive conference they have attended.

The conference begins with optional pre-conference networking opportunities that combine seeing the country, often with talks on country-specific topics of interest, with the hugely important chance to network with potential future research collaborators. The networking enables building the trust relationships needed to sustain long-distance research collaboration.

The conference itself combines tracks of presentations of research papers, plenary sessions that provide for keynote speakers and mini-workshops on topics related to your professional development.

The conference also includes your choice of full-day workshops on 1) Teaching Using Discussion Cases, 2) Blended Learning, and 3) Computer-Assisted Qualitative Analysis

New this year.

This year we introduce the opportunity for those without much experience in making research presentations (for example, doctoral students) to present their research in a supportive environment.

Fast-tracking of Best Accepted Papers to ISI journals

The Editors-in-Chief of ISI's journals look over the reviews and the revised submissions and select the best papers for publication in their journals using fast-tracking. Highest consideration for fast-tracking for publication in one of ISI journals will go to papers submitted to the conference by November 30. To be considered, at least one author must be a paid delegate to the conference.

Localizing the Curriculum with Discussion Cases
A common complaint about discussion cases is that they feature decision-makers holding executive positions at the major multinational U.S. and European companies. At most universities, students find it hard to identify with these individuals, at least in the near future. One way of avoiding this problem is for researchers to develop their own case studies involving the same organizations that employ most of their students. This keynote address and workshop will go through the steps associated with developing, publishing, and employing these cases in the classroom and online, with added commentary on assessing learning outcomes.
"Critical Strategies for Improving Student Engagement in a Blended Learning Environment”
Different engagement strategies are needed at three different stages of the learning process. Examples of how to develop strategies appropriate to each stage are presented, and opportunities to work collaboratively developing these strategies for individual teacher use will be provided.

Learn How to Conduct Research using Computer-Assisted Qualitative Analysis

Enhance your qualitative research with NVivo – an analytical tool for qualitative data analysis

NVivo is a Computer Aided Qualitative Data Analysis Software (CAQDAS) package which facilitates in-depth qualitative analysis of textual and audio-visual data sources. Colleagues attending this workshop will learn the following:
